Fat Bottom #5

This one is for a coworker, Sara. I think it’s my favorite so far and I’m almost regretting having made it for someone else. Because I want one this color too. I love mine to pieces but I have such a thing for red these days. Fall on the way, perhaps.

This is RHSS in Claret, size H hook and good old Happy Hooker book. Except I don’t need the book anymore which is a good thing as it probably would have a broken spine by now if I did.

I’d also really love it if a fabric store could open up in my neck of the woods soon. Wal-Mart is it for me and I’ve practically exhausted the options for ‘nice’ fabric lining. If my coworkers are going to continue requesting these bags I’ll keep making them, but I’m not going to drive an hour to the next closest fabric store (Hobby Lobby) for the perfect half yard of fabric. I just want more choices, and fast ones too. I’m sure I could order online, of course I can, but the turn around time wouldn’t be fast enough so Wal-Mart it is.

I started the second Mirasol sock for me this afternoon, and am torn on what my next project will be after that. Socks for Rick, the cabled bag for me… socks for Christmas gifts… Lucy’s Anastasia socks need to be finished too. And back to the Christmas thing, it’s September already.

SEPTEMBER.

Whatever I do next, I’d best do it fast.

i’ve started and restarted my fat bottom (bag) today…crochet is harder than i thought - i keep mis-counting or something - having trouble with those five stitches between the markers - always comes out to be six or seven a couple rows later….i’m trying to picture how this thing gets put together….i’m gonna keep trying as i need a break from socks….oh, btw, your bags are so lovely i’m beginning to have bag-envy!

[…] October 8, 2007 It was only a matter of time before i got the sinus bug. Peter had it, Mylinda (my managers daughter - and yes, she brought her to wok while she was sick) had it and my Dad had it. So, unfortunately for my sinus’, I have it. Sucks. But needless to say, I spent the whole weekend sitting on the couch looking at our new plant and crocheting. I finished the Fat Bottom Bag. It is so gorgeous. And,the best part of all… it fits all my stuff. […]
